| The following is a proposed Wikipedia policy, guideline, or process. The proposal may still be in development, under discussion, or in the process of gathering consensus for adoption. Thus references or links to this page should not describe it as "policy". |
An individual building, structure, or landmark of any type is notable if it meets WP:N guidelines, which for the most part, means being covered by multiple, independent reliable sources. This includes those under public and private ownership. There are, however, some places for which it can be assumed are given such coverage, and therefore are notable.

Hospitals providing general, emergency, or psychiatric care are notable. They are usually considered important to the infrastructure of the region.
Other types of hospitals, long-term care facilities branded as "hospitals," nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and medical centers are only considered notable if they are the subject of multiple, independent reliable sources.

Lodging chains are notable if they meet WP:CORP guidelines.

Tourist attractions, including museums, are notable if they are the subject of multiple, independent reliable sources, or if they are mentioned in multiple travel guides.
Any building designated by a governmental agency as a historical building or any building or structure given a landmark designation is considered notable.
